About Us

Our goal is to keep bicycles out of the waste stream by repairing or restoring them, and getting them into the hands of people who want to ride. We especially love customizing old steel road bikes! We take pride in our restorations, thoroughly cleaning each bike and often putting on many new parts. Each bike is tuned and tested before it is sold so you can be sure the bike is safe to ride. We often buy bikes and accept trades, so please contact us if you have any you would like to sell. (Please include photos when reaching out to us.)

Tune-Ups

Is your bike not shifting well? Are the brakes not working? Are your handlebars going in a different direction than your front tire? Let us give it a tune up! This service is available at all of our events. Have a few bikes in need of repair? We will come TO YOU! Contact us at 516-819-8503 or contact@shortbusbicycles.com for more details! Also, if you purchase one of our used bicycles, we will make any needed adjustments for free.

We offer 10% off for students, teachers, firefighters, police and military on our bicycle sales.

Location

We do not have a permanent location as it is a mobile business, BUT we are available for shop visits by appointment. We are located very close to Silver Sands State Park, about 1.5 miles from the Milford train station.
